September 25, Debate on the Constitutional Convention Ballot Item
An important ballot item will be on the November election ballot concerning whether or not New York state should hold a constitutional convention during which the state constitution will be open up for revision.
To help voters get better informed about the issue and the different perspectives on this question, the League of Women Voters is holding a debate on the topic. It will take place on Monday, September 25 at 7:00 pm at the Borg Warner Room of the Tompkins County Public Library in downtown Ithaca.

October 13 Deadline for Political Party Registration for Primary Elections
If you want to be eligible to vote in the primary elections in 2018 (this includes primaries for state governor, an opponent to Tom Reed in NY23, and more), you must register with a party by October 13 of this year! You can do so using forms and information from your County’s Board of Elections.
